Father and Son Camp out

May 30, 2008

Brett took Ki on a Father and Son camp out with our ward for one night. It was the first time we tried out our new tent too. They both had so much fun together exploring. They sure can't wait for next years camp out.

The wives and baby Nate that were left behind, hung out all night and had our own sleep over. We Love CAMPING!!

Six Flags

Our Friends, Danny and Loni called us up Friday night wondering if we wanted to go to Six Flags Discovery Museum with them the next day. We love Six Flags so of course we went with them. My favorite part about going to amusement parks is watching Ki go on all the little kids rides. Every time we go to the parks he gets braver and braver. He even went on a little mini roller coaster ride with me and did really well on it. He loved all of the cartoon characters.

My other favorite part was all the real animals and the shows that they put on during the day.
This walrus is famous! His name is Jocko and he was in the movie "50 First Dates". I loved watching him especially when you put a baby up close to the glass. I guess he really loves little kids and will clap to them and put his nose right up to the glass where the babies are. It was really fun to watch.
Oh....Ki was in heaven when we saw Batman just standing there waiting for him. He was in awe and of course had to give him a hug. It was really cute.
I love Ki's face in this picture. He just couldn't believe that Batman was real.
What a fun day!!

Stinson Beach

One of our favorite things to do in San Francisco is to head down to the beach and relax. I love the smell, the sound of the waves, watching our kids play in the sand, searching for sea shells and people watching. I could stay at the Beach for hours. Brett came home from school early so we decided we would pack up our boys and our beach stuff and head to a different beach that some of our friends told us about that is across the Golden Gate bridge called Stinson Beach. It's about 20 minutes away from our house. It was such a fun Friday afternoon outing/picnic with our little family. I loved every minute of it.

Nate's First Swim

We went to our friends, Scottie and Mal's house for dinner and a fun FHE swimming activity. The fun thing about it was that it was Nate's first time in a pool and he loved every minute of it (well besides the air being super chilly but luckily there was a hot tub). Thanks Mal and Scottie for the fun night and memories.

Sticker War

The other day after naps Ki got his sticker book out and went wild with all the stickers and his "brudder". Nate loved every minute of it.

9 months old

Nate's my big boy now. He started (sort of) crawling this week and also started eating some dairy foods and meats (he has his two bottom teeth too). I'm kind of sad that he's growing so fast but it will be fun to watch Ki and Nate chase each other around the house. I took him to the Doctors last week for his 9 month shots and found out that he is in the 5th% for his height(I hope and pray that he'll get Brett's gene's instead of mine, poor guy), he is only in the 20% for his weight which I was very surprised because of how roly poly he is, and 50% for his head size. He says DaDaDaDa and BaBaBaBa and has only said MaMaMaMa once when he was really sad. He loves playing with Ki's toys only and loves mimicking all of our noise especially Ki's. I love having two boys together. They are definitely best buds.

My Perfect Day......

I know this is a late post but I wanted to blog about my Mother's Day that Brett did for me. I decide Saturday that I wanted Chinese food from my favorite places and then just have a simple meal for Sunday. Brett was so willing and he's such a good man that he seriously went to 4 different restaurants to pick up all my favorite Chinese food dishes. He also brought home my favorite flowers and favorite treats for me while he was out getting the food. Our supper was awesome and it was so nice to not have to cook or do the dishes afterwards. At church I showed up to Primary and found out that all the husbands took over the wives primary lessons so all of us could enjoy Sunday school and Relief Society. It was such a nice break and I loved every minute of Relief Society. In nursery Ki made this cute hand print page and he was so excited to give it to me. After church I got to take a nap and Brett took care of the kids and cooked supper. He even took me and the kids to Baker Beach (which is only 1 minute away from where we live) after supper to enjoy the waves and the fresh ocean breeze. It was such a nice day.

It was really windy down by the water.Nate's first time playing in the sand.

Happy Mother's Day

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."
- Washington Irving

Happy Mother's Day to my mother and mother-in-law. We love you.

Nate Baker

He is so funny lately with the little things he does. I have caught him so many times with having random things hanging out of his mouth, so I finally took some pictures of those moments. I love his blue eyes........
