Our Colorado Trip

During Brett's spring break Joel, Regan , Maggie, and our family flew out to Colorado Springs, CO to spend some time with Scott, Sarah, Kael and Karson.
It was so fun to see them again and to see their new home. Of course Ki had a blast playing with his cousins again. Their home is really really nice and Colorado is beautiful with the mountains so close. It actually reminded me of Southern Alberta especially with the nasty wind. I felt like I was back home in Lethbridge. I really don't miss the crazy wind at all.

Brett and Joel went to work with Scott one of the days at his dental office just to check things out. They really enjoyed seeing how things are after school life.

We did a lot in the 6 days that we were there. The boys and Regan went golfing a couple days (they live on a golf course), We went out for dinner one night, went to the park, the girls went shopping with NO kids and also had a BBQ with Scott's cousin and his family one evening too.
We helped Sarah decorate her new home. It's kind of fun to spend somebody else's money!

Thank you Scott, Sarah, Kael, and Karson for the fun spring break. We love you!!

Happy Easter

I love holidays!! Especially when Brett has time off to be with us. Easter is such a good time of year especially Easter Sunday. After church we had a really nice dinner at Regan and Joel's house with a few other neighbours. While Ki was napping the Easter bunny came by and left some eggs around our living room for Ki to find. He was so excited to collect all the eggs and eat the treats. He still talks about the Easter bunny. A few weeks after the excitement he asked us if the Easter bunny is coming back. So Brett and I decided that we could have the Easter bunny come back again for a F.H.E activity. He loved it!

Happy Easter!!

Visitors

We love visitors especially when it's family. Thanks Jenny for coming to see us all. We had so much fun going to the Ferry Building and trying different cheeses and breads and buying fresh fruit and flowers.

Benson

Welcome to the Family Benson. We love you and wish that we can come and snuggle with you.

I was able to go to Arizona and help my sister Renee out after she had Benson. Benson was born on March 14 at 8:23am weighing 5 lbs 9oz and 18 1/2 inches long. I flew out on Sunday, March 16th for 6 days. Thanks to Regan for making this visit possible. She watched Ki during a few days while Brett went to school or studied for finals. I really appreciate all you do for me Reg.

I had lots of fun with Nate while helping and mostly playing with Renee and Aaron's two other children. We went for walks, went to the park, shot Branson's dart gun, drew trains, flags and sail boats on the side walk with chalk, mowed the lawn, played in the sand box, played with play doh, had a fire in the back yard, and ate some yummy food. Branson and Brittan were such good kids while I helped them out. Renee and Aaron even went out on a mini date by themselves and left all the kids home for me to watch (even Baby Benson). We had so much fun. I favorite part about this quick trip was just being with Renee. I love you Renee and thanks for the pedicure. My main goal for me going to their house was to help them out with the kids, cleaning their house, and making some meals to freeze for Renee to use later. It was fun taking care of them. Thanks for letting me come Aaron and Renee. I can't wait to come back again soon.
Nate loved being outside in the back yard especially feeling the grass.

Our Family

We are living in the beautiful city of San Francisco and have been living here for a year and a half now. Brett is finishing up his 2nd year of dentistry at the University of the Pacific and I'm at home with our two boys. Ki will be three in June and Nate is 8 months. We have really enjoyed living here and experiencing the fun adventures that this city has to offer. But most of all we have loved every moment with our children. We love to go find new parks or museums, go to the beach (which is within walking distance from where we live), go down to fishermans wharf or just be a tourist for the day, get ice cream at Ghirardelli, or just wrestle with our boys in the front room. As a mother my favorite thing to do is just watch my children grow. I love watching Ki learn new things and seeing him get out of hard situations by himself or watching Nate roll over so he can get a toy. My children fascinate me everyday. I just love them.

Brett and I have loved this time living away from home. It sure has made our relationship so much stronger just to really depend on each other. When we moved here a year and a half ago we were, and still are blessed to live so close to Brett's twin brother and his sister. It has really been a blessing to still be close to family even though we moved away from Canada. We miss Southern Alberta but we know that someday we will be back. It has been so fun with Joel, Regan and Maggie literally living a just a door away and Sarah , Scott, Kael, and Karson upstairs from us. We miss the Probst's now but we sure have great memories from the time we had with them.

We have also been blessed to find the friends that we have made through Brett's school and our ward. We love living in the Presidio so close to all of you. We will be friends forever.

As for this city we are a little sad to think that we only have a little more than a year left here. We love San Francisco and will definitely leave part of our hearts here. We have loved having family come visit and explore this city with us and welcome any visitors anytime.
