Nate's Surgery

Nate was born with a birth mark on top of his head. Within the birth mark there were several small black moles that the doctor was concerned about. So when Nate was 6 months old he was referred to the chief pediatric plastic surgeon at UCSF childrens hospital who has seen and removed several similar birthmarks. He booked his surgery just before Nate's first birthday to try and remove most of the dark circle. He does have to do the surgery again because they weren't able to get it all, but not for 6 more months. As Nate's mother I felt confident in the doctors decision but also so helpless. It was really hard to watch Nate have to go through such a big and painful thing. But he made it through and healed up really fast. He's our brave little man!

Oh Nadine...that must have been so difficult to have your little man go through that...there's nothing worse than feeling helpless when you're a Mom...goes against all your instincts ya know?

Glad to hear the surgery went well...way to go Nate!
