Merry Christmas  to all our wonderful family and friends!!

Ki (9) is in Grade 4 and is a great student.  He loves to read, draw pictures, play the piano and hang out with his friends.  His very favourite thing to do is create things out of Lego.  Ki made an awesome Kub Kar this year and ended up with the fastest car and won the rally.  He started Mini basketball this year and loves having games every Saturday.  He had a very successful soccer season this year and was amazing as goalie.  He enjoys spending as much time as he can with his awesome cousins.

Nate (7) got to spend his birthday at Legoland and Arizona this year.  He is in Grade 2 and loves his teacher, and his friends.  His favourite things in school are gym, recess and computer time.  He spends lots of time with his best friend and also loves to be with his cousins and grandparents.  He had fun decorating the Christmas tree this year.  He is very excited for the Christmas holidays to start.

Bennett (4) loves to be with his brothers and can’t wait for Dad to get home from work during the week.  He always has a big hug waiting for everyone.  He loves to go to preschool with his buddies and enjoys having his mom as a teacher.  He learned to swim this summer in Arizona from the best swimming teacher, his Auntie Renee and loves to go often.  He is so excited for Santa to come and loves all the Christmas decorations and lights.

Brett/Nadine can’t believe our boys are getting so big.  We had a great summer camping in our new trailer and spending time with our extended families. We explored Alberta this summer and saw lots of amazing things.  We love to cheer the boys on in their extra curricular activities and seeing them succeed. We look forward to the New Year and all the blessings and experiences it will bring to our family.

This past year has taught us patience and faith in the Lords timing.  We have learned that we need to trust in Him completely and that we can rely on our Savior to change us and shape us into the individuals He wants us to be.  We love the Christmas season and the peace that we feel in our homes as we focus our families on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Born in a stable, cradled in a manger, He came forth from heaven to live on earth as mortal man and to establish the kingdom of God.  During His earthly ministry, He taught men the higher law.  His glorious gospel reshaped the thinking of the world.  He blessed the sick.  He caused the lame to walk, the blind to see, the deaf to hear.  He even raised the dead to life.  To us He has said, ‘Come follow me’.

As we seek Christ, as we find Him, as we follow Him, we shall have the Christmas spirit, not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always.  We shall learn to forget ourselves.  We shall turn our thoughts to the greater benefit of others.” –Thomas S. Monson

SF wives weekend getaway

The first weekend of may is the best ever and I will always look forward to it because it's girls weekend! Before we left San Franciscoafter graduation, all of us wives arranged to do a weekend get away the 1st weekend in May. This year we had it in Utah at Mindi's parents house. We ate lots of great food, slept a little, crafted, shopped, chatted and chatted and held babies that we got to meet for the first time. It was a nice relaxing weekend with the girls and I loved every minute of it.

Easter '10

My parents flew down to Arizona for Easter so all the Woolf siblings got together at my house and had a Easter feast and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was lots of work but so much fun to be with family.

Happy Easter!!

My boys...

My two Nephites

The boys like to pretend that they are Nephites going to war against the Lamanites. I love their costumes!

2010 Vancouver Olympics

We were so pumped to have the Olympics in Canada this year. We really wanted to go but it just wasn't feasible for us at that time. We made an Olympic rings count down and made sure we had our Canadian Flags out to cheer on our Canadian athletes. We also went and hung out with family and made a big cookie with the Olympic rings on it. It's a tradition in the Woolf family to do that for each Olympics. There was a lot of patriotic spirit in our home and you could even feel it everywhere you went. We are proud to be Canadians.

After the Olympics I was able to find cheap tickets to go to Vancouver to visit our friends the Steed's . I kept telling them that I would come out and visit and that time worked out to be the best for us. I didn't know at the time when I booked my flights that I was going to Vancouver during the Paralympics so when I arrived Sharlee surprised me with tickets to a Sledge Hockey game while I was there. Vancouver is an amazing place to visit. It reminded me of San Francisco except with Canadian style and lots of tress and mountains. I had so much fun visiting and hanging out with them and the kids. I got a tour of UBC dental school that Brett is going to, we went to the beach and a few parks, and ate some really yummy food. It was so fun and really relaxing.
I couldn't believe how many Canadian Flags I saw all over the city. You could still feel the strong pride from the Canadian people even after the Olympics.

Thank you Steed Family for the fun weekend! Love you!

Gymnastics class

Ki did a winter/spring gymnastics class and loved every minute of it. He was so good at listening to his teacher and following the rules. Nate and I enjoyed watching Ki every week get better and stronger. For the last class I made him a gold medal for his big achievement. Way to go Ki, You did it!!
